When my dog died (she was my best friend) I couldn't sleep or eat for months. Like another poster said, excercise is good to wear yourself out. Also relaxing music to listen too on a ipod is good, so your not thinking about anything but the lyrics (I recommend Eels- Need Some Sleep, lol) Make a nice playlist so you don't get suddenly awakened by rock music! When my dog went, my mum got me some herbal drop things that you put on your tounge and it calms and soothes you. They are very good. I also have these herbal sleeping tablets.

Funny story actually, first time I tried one, I spat it out because it was so discusting. After preparing myself I took another, and assumed my mum had cleared the other one up. Later on I noticed my usualy lively dog fast asleep in her basket. Yep the greedy thing has eaten it! Luckily it was herbal so it did her no harm. The next time I had to use them was because of her...

This is not related, but do you have any other dogs? I have 3 others, well my parents do, and sometimes you just need that doggy presence around. Just a thought.

Hope it gets better for you, good luck hun xx
