reader, anonymous, writes (8 January 2007): A nice wall hanging/print for the waiting room with a little plaque congratulating her, would be thoughtful, too. I love the plant idea! If she too busy for plant care thopugh you could get her a good quality silk floor plant would spruce up, the waiting area. Or why not a lovely dozen roses..on her opening day?!

I suggest getting her something useful she would need for when the practice opens. A moderately expensive pen (depending on your budget) would be a great gift in my opinion!

I don't know what kind of person your sister is, but maybe you could buy her a plant for the office, as a symbol of growing business.
Of course you will attach a congratulations card where you tell her how happy you are for her and that you are proud to be the brother of such a cool woman =)
