reader, anonymous, writes (16 May 2008): well i was thinking about taking my boyfriend to a resort seeing that im in the caribbean ..but yr 17 so i dont kno if u can spend the night out beside that u can take him for a fun day at the spa...if he's into that..or have a little surprise get together for him where u and his friends can all enjoy themselves

I agree, the best thing you can do is to spend the day doing what he wants to do. Take him Go-Karting or get tickets for his favourite band. My bf once surprised me with an all day horse trail ride through the mountains with a picnic lunch, it was the best birthday ever, mostly cause I know he is terrifed of horses!LOL!!!!

 Ask his friends and family what his hobbies are. Look for something that he really likes to do. For example, if he wrestling, get him tickets to next year's Wrestlemania... You get the idea. Just prove to him that you listen. The best gift that you can give him is a day just for you two, without phone calls or interruptions.
