Any ideas on how to lose weight and stop the bloating without losing my mind?

Hey I've got a problem. My current weight is 144lbs., which my doctor said is ten pounds overweight for my height (5'4). So my stomach sticks out and my thighs look thick. And I'm pretty lazy so even if I want to workout or try to, I automatically go back to eating a lot of junk food or lying around my house. But what's currently bothering me is the fact that my stomach is feeling bloated. It started since May 1st and has been continuing ever since. It hasn't happened before because My weight has been in the 140's since freshman year of high school. I know it's not pregnancy, because I took four tests from two different name brands within two months (from late April through mid-May), and my periods last the normal four to seven days. I want to try and exercise during my time off before I start sophomore year in college, but I have to babysit my sister and younger cousin and they constantly stress me out. Any ideas on how to lose weight and stop the bloating without losing my mind?

Abella agony auntgo to the Doctor immediately. If he is able to rule out any serious medical issue that needs attention immediately then join Weight watchers as they do have a very good track record of helping people. I think they are possibly (based on the numbers they help) possibly more successful than a professional Dietician.

Drink plenty of water.

Cut out all sugar laden drinks.

Stop adding salt to anything as it makes you retain water. And avoid food with lots of salt.

Read labels when shopping.

If joining a Gym is too expensive then at least join a walking group. And at least do leg exercises and lifting weights at home. 'weights' can mean two water filled drink bottles of small to large size.

If you can hire a treadmill or a stationery bicycle. Treadmill is better. If you must watch tv then do it while on th treadmill.

Stress can make you too tired and contribute to you getting fat. Your health is more important than babysitting.

Reduce the babysitting and focus on getting healthy. If you were living away from home you might be living too far away from helping with babysitting.

You will feel so much better, have more energy and look hotter when you lose that tummy fat.

Start by telling yourself that fat and sugar filled fast food and high calorie snacks are dirty slimy pus filled poison for your body. Imagine this type of food as squirming with bacteria and disease that you do not need in your body.

Your body will love the change.

Start making healthier vegetable and fruit based foods. Any meat you eat at a meal should be a piece small enough to fit into the palm of your hand. Weight watchers can expand on all this.

You can even do Weight Watchers on line if you don't want to attend meetings. But I think this is a high upfront cost, whereas the meetings are 'pay per week'
