Think like lenard from big bang theory (if you know the tv show) he's a lot like that. He's short and has thick black rimmed glasses and has an obsession with lord of the rings, Harry potter, and star wars. Like the whole 9 yards haha. Anyway, homecoming is 2 weeks from now and I wanna ask him out before then or at least by then so do you guys have any cute ideas? Maybe themed off his interests I mentioned above? Anything helps!  I agree with anon reader that you should just ask him rather than go too overboard.
Just go for it but keep it low key and private so as not embarrass him and don't be surprised if he's a bit shy and says no, he is younger than you (and us girls mature a lot quicker as a rule).

 FYI, I know when my son was 15 there would be no way I would have allowed him to go out with a 17 year old. Just saying.
