You dont say what sort of file it is?
If its a word/excel file, just open those applications then file - open...and it should appear as the last file at the bottom of the tab
Good Luck

Oh you poor, poor thing, I feel for you. I have done things like this myself, and it is the most infuriating situation.
So lets go through this: you emailed documents to yourself?
1, Where were the documents stored initially for you to send, on a school computer, friends or on your own?
2. The email address you sent the documents to, was it an email address through a web-based client ( Hotmail, live, Msn, Yahoo etc) or was it one on your own ISP servers, which comes straight into you on windows mail?
3.Now you say you've saved your coursework as you were going along and that you did about 7 hours work on it. When you save it, did you CHECK which FOLDERS you saved it to?
Sometimes if you open and save a document from email it can choose it's own preferred saving area, look in downloads, look in temporary files, documents and even check the name of the file in ' Search box ' on bottom left hand corner of your computer. Double click the Start button, and the search facility will come up.
Providing you've saved it to hard-disk and NOT just opened it from your email client, it will be there somewhere. Failing any of this, do a quick search on Google, ' unable to find documents saved' There is a lot of help that real computer whizz's add to help forums. I really hope you find your coursework, and my suggestions help you.
Good luck, please come back and let me know if you find them.

start at the place where you did it before you sent it, see if it's in there. Look in both computers in the junk folder, it could be in there. Also check the 'saved files' Use the 'Search' for all files and documents, typing in the title of the work. If all else fails, ask your tutor, they could suggest something that youve missed.

Sorry, I couldn't help but laugh out loud at the irony of your problem - ICT coursework, indeed!
Depending on your computer and system you're running, I would start by looking in 'Documents'. Failing that, try going into 'Recent Items'. Still nothing? Then try contacting your service provider who may transfer you to a call centre in India, as mine does. Explain the problem and hopefully, they can come up with an answer. Also, if no-one here can help, try going into your local P.C.World or similar, they have a problem desk with usually knowledgeable people on hand. Other than that, I am sorry but can assist no further. Hopefully, some computer boffin here will chime in.
Good luck.
