Since then, our communication has slowed. He has stopped texting first but always replies, and it is generally flirty and fun. I have asked to meet up since but he has been away for work and busy. He apologised and said it wasn't through choice. On Saturday, we had a nice conversation for a few hours but I've heard nothing since. I have texted a few times but no reply and, regreattably, sent a text saying that I guess I had been dumped but it was nice to have met him. I don't know where I stand with him. I can't help but think that he would not reply if he wasn't interested so why cut off all contact suddenly? Am I wasting my time with him?

He just wasn't the guy for you. Maybe he was looking for sex only and you didn't give in, or maybe there is just something else in his life. If he really had been the one, he would have bent over backwards to get you. As it is, he's not. Spend time healing your heart, and find someone who will take their time over you, and get to know you.
