I have been some what hesitant because she is allergic to cats and my parents have cats and I fear that will be a huge problem. My parents recently moved and she has not yet been to my parents new house so I don't know how big of a problem it really is yet. Am I making way too big a deal about this or could this be a real problem? My fear is we wouldn't be able to visit them living an hour and a half away. Reply to this Question Share |

That doesnt seem like a problem at all.. She doesnt have to actually go into your parents house, just invite them to supper with you once in a while

But your parents can do things like vacuum with a HEPA vacuum and get a HEPA air filter. Check Consumer Reports for info on air filters. I just bought 2 for my boyfriend's cat allergies, and they help him.

How very thoughtful of you!
Well I have cats, and one of my childs friends is allergic to cats... however, he comes to our house everyday for an hour or so, and also has sleep overs at weekends. He is fine for the hour or two, but when he stays the weekend he always takes a piriteze allergy tablet each day that he is here and he is fine.
I think it would be a different matter if she was moving in to a house where there were cats around her all day everyday.
