Am I moving too fast?

Question - (20 January 2012) 3 Answers - (Newest, 20 January 2012)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend of only 3 months emigrated to Australia on a working holiday visa today. Before I had even met him I'd planned on going myself with a group of friends in September. Now Im thinking that I hate being away from him and I'll go over earlier, in may, alone, just to be with him. I'm scared to suggest this idea to him in case he finds it too much too fast although he says he's as crazy about me as I am about him. Am I being silly and too forward in thinking of doing this after knowing him only 3 months? (although we've spent almost every day together and I adore him!)

I don't think that's too fast. I feel that 3 months is enough time to get a good read on someone, especially if you're seeing them practically every day. So if it were me and I had the chance to go for a visit, I definitely would!

Best of luck!

If you were thinking of going over next month, ya that might be a bit fast. But anytime after Febuary and I think you're perfectly fine and you've given him enough space. Life is 3 times as packed when you're in a new country so it will seem a lot longer for him. My suggestion is to give a few days though before you tell him. Maybe write, "I'm thinking of coming to Australia earlier, maybe in May, what do you think?" and go from there. Good luck.
