In the beginning of the year, he would constantly be staring at me when teaching, (which made me feel uncomfortable at times), but now he's looking away if he catches me looking at him, (but I'm supposed to be looking at him, since he's the teacher). He also does this quick glance thing at me, then looks away, and kind of looks like he's embarrassed. But then there are also days when he 'holds his eye contact' with me and he looks like he's about to smile. I'm getting confused with his actions and I'm becoming self-conscious, plus nervous in his class now, since I think I'm doing something to make him act this way. I don't know what to do, and recently when I had to ask him a question about something, (after class, when everyone had left already), he didn't make much eye contact with me the whole time and he was acting kind of nervous and was fidgeting around with some papers on his desk and abruptly moved away from me. And because of what has been happening lately, when I went up to him and asked the question, I couldn't really look him in the eye either. I hope this makes sense, because it kind of sounds like rambling, but I just don't know if I'm making him nervous or if I'm becoming paranoid now, but it's starting to bother me. Thanks if anyone can help.

but if you like him back then tell him it strainght to his face then leave sice he would probably need to get used to it.

sestephe3 is verified as being by the original poster of the questionNo, I don't feel threatened or unsafe, but it just seems like I'm primarily the one student he always looks at in class. I sit there and listen, like everyone else, but everyday it seems like he only focuses on looking at me, so that's why it's starting to bother me and I'm feeling self-conscious. Would you say that his age has anything to do with this?
Thanks for the responses.

i can't really say anything hard hitting for you, but a teacher is a lot like their students, human.
When a teacher looks at a room full of students the first thing that grabs their attention is the student looking at them, it is the same as when you are giving a presentation to a class, you hope someone is listening and when it seems that they are you target them. They become your hope for that five minute presentation.
As i said, i can't really say anything that is hard evidence wise, but sometimes male teachers do find themselves looking at the girls, but any thought quickly subsides.
If you want to talk it out, give me anything that is more detailed that you couldn't write on the original question I have more than enough time to help you out. Private message me if you want.
