It has become "cracked" and dry and i have read that excessive use of soap on the penis can cause this, is this correct, because that is what i do every morning, retract my foreskin and wash with soap.I was also wondering whether me not using lubricant during masturbation could have a bearing? I was thinking of using some germolene cream on it because that relieves skin irritations, would that be ok?Furthermore i am worried about the lack of mobility in my frenulum. I can get it to just behind my head when i am fully erect but no further. I really dont want to see my doctor about this and was wondering if there were any exercises i could do to loosen it myself. I read that pulling back the skin so that it is quite taught and then putting it in salt water helps, is this correct? Thanks for any help i recieve

Sometimes even washing powder used for washing clothes can irritate the skin. You need to be careful you haven't picked up an infection which can happen from all kinds of places - it doesn't mean you're dirty! So if symptoms persist think you should see the doc.

Hmm...could be the soap...but it could also mean phimosis.Go to the doctor after you stop with the soap (have a light rinse with water instead) to rule out the first.

Mild soap, like Ivory, might be good. Prior to peeing, pull the skin back so it doesn't get wet.A light dab of "clean" vaseline will help. If you need to, ask a doctor.
