I told them I didn't want to go to college right after high school. So we agreed on me not going till the Spring. I want to have the time to well start out my life and get a job and earn money for my first car. DO you think I'm doing the right thing? Should I go back to school in August? Please I would like some opinions. By the way I'm going to college for Nursing.

As long as you don't lose sight of you goals, then fine take a year off. However, if you get into working and having an income it can become more alluring than hitting the books and taking classes, so sometimes people just don't go back to school. The longer you stay out of school the harder it can be to go back. If you remember the big picture you'll be okay.

If you and your parents both feel that it's the right thing for you, then it probably is! Loads of people take gap years before going to university, and there's nothing wrong with earning a little cash to have behind you first. I think a year out is great for some people, so why not?
Hope that helps.
