A female United States age , anonymous writes:

I met someone on a dating site. We agreed to meet mutually after a few emails and about a week of telephone calls. Our first meeting was ice cream. Our second meeting we had great sex (we are a 50 something couple) and this continued on for about a two months no real dating...sex, cuddling, chatting, popcorn, drinks, chatting, kissing, home..

Anyway, no real communication inbetween these meetings, and I knew what was happening because our meets got later and shorter most likely due to the fact that I started asking alot of questions about "us". Needless, to say, I sent him an email telling him that his distance meant that he had lost interest in me and I was not interested in a reason why. I told him I was looking for something long term not a friends with benefits thing and since I was falling for him, and have had encounters like this before I could not allow this kind of thing to happen again. I wished him well and told him I would be on my way to find what I was looking for...he shoud do the same.

He response back to me was, that he was glad that he met me and that he was glad that I told him off so to speak that it was the sign of a strong confident woman and that the reason he was distant was because I wanted more than he was prepared to give. Needless to say, I contacted him (after about a month...I missed him)and asked if he would like to continue where we left off...he said he was thinking about it...We got together on Thanksgiving...as friends...ok...am I crazy...for even wanting to be his friend?...I have since been dating other men, but am finding I am just not into any of the men I have met..
