A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hi everyone, I need an advice from people who don't know me as none of my friend or family know what's happening to me for some time now. I'm a normal citysen with a good career, what has happened to me I would never of dreamed of in my worst nightmares it could ever happen to me. I have been set up and charged with 2 crimes I didn't commit, the police knows I'm innocent as they keep saying it to me but they are ready to mess up my life because the person the were after for a long time is very dear to me but they can't get him. 1 week ago I was asked to turn up at the police station with a solicitor, next thing i know i'm beeng charged with 2 offences and while they are doing that they say to me and my solicitor "we know you are innocent, but we have to charge you, now you have to hope that your friend comes to us and gives us explanations otherwise you are going to take it for him" -I'm being used. is there any justice left???

Woah there, don't listen to the anonymous male, he sounds like an american.

Until the case has been through court, you CANNOT publish anything or you are in contempt of court. Trust me on this I am a journalist.

After an arrest has been made, you cannot say anything about it until it's said in open court.

Do what you want after it is all over but not before or you really will get in trouble with the law.

Go to your MP and the Independent Police Complaints Commission and talk to them about what happened. They might help you.

Good Luck!! xx

Just one thing, as the anonymous male reader said, I won't let them off the hook (if everything goes well, hopefully) i'm thinking to publish the whole case on the internet, as i couldn't say all the details but there's a lot of lies and words that have been changed and tapes cut out and i already started making notes (just in case). wish me luck please!!! :-)

Thanx everyone for their advice, it is a very complicated situation, talking to my solicitor she said it's very hard to prove that the police has set me up and doesn't even want to bring up that subject when it comes to court, and the police has got no evidence at all but what has messed me up is the fact of me being honest to the police, probably i was stupid to do that but i said that my friend has told me what's been done and i knew what has happened way before, so now i'm risking big trouble because i didn't betray my friend and reported it to the police, as well as being in the wrong place at the wrong time. what i have noticed is that the police are not trustworthy and all they care is their next promotion not about what they do to people. I'm very shocked of this situation but I'm working on it, and still hoping for some justice. Thanx all

Wear a wire next time and get their bullshit on the news. See how much fun they have explaining it to the higher-up authorities.

The police can charge you but if the Crown Prosecution Service sees there is no evidence then they will not take you to court.

I think you need to get on to the person who committed the crimes and get him to own up to it and get you out of this.

If you do the crime, you do the time and that is something your friend has to learn.

Good Luck!! xx

Now just to let you know, i have no idea how the system works. But they cant do that, charge you with something they know you didnt do. Is there any evidence to show that you did it? if not that wont stand in court. Also the police are under lots of pressure by the government to meet ridiculous targets. I know nothing about the charges, but they have to have some evidenceto charge you. And why cant they get him? and once again i know nothing about the situation, and this may be very extreme but could you have been set up by somebody else? this might not be any help.

All the best
