writes: Any thoughts please... I've been with my guy for about 14 months, and I'm not a money grabber, not in the slightest but I do believe in a little romance. He has only ever taken me out for one meal (the rest we split) and weve never been away for a weekend or even had a holiday together. He admitted he was tight when we first started dating ... but come on.. don't guys like to surprise and treat the one they love? I once joked around about him buying me a cd that I really wanted as a treat, and he said "no darling, you'll have to wait for your birthday".. which was 3 months away. Flowers once for Valentines Day and that's it. Am I being petty or could I do better? I like to feel special but not sure that I do! He's very much save save save - pension pension pension but hey - don't we just wanna have a but of spontaneous fun in the first year or so, meals out and surprises! Or are we just too different?

i really understand you, as a woman you want to feel spoiled, like a princess and hes not giving you that. ask yourself, do you love him, if you do then you will understand him but then againg if he loves you he will understand him. Women dont like cheap guys iam not a gold digger but i like to be wined and dined, romantic dinners. you are young and probaly beautiful if you dont feel right in this then leave. keep me posted..good luck
