writes:me and my boyfriend have been together for one and a half years and at first it was perfect we were so happy, but then he started to change, he gets angry easily and yells alot. He has hit me twice, but that was a long time ago so i just seem to forget about it now, but it seems like he makes me cry a lot, more than often, and he doesnt care when i do cry he just tells me to shut up, but yet i still want to be with him, i dont know what to do, am i one of those girls who are being completely stupid and should get rid of him or am i overreacting?  Yes, you are being completely stupid because you continue to remain in a relationship with a man who has beaten you, who emotionally abuses you and is obviously a very horrible person. You are like millions of other women who stay in abusive relationships while clinging to an idea of love. Unless you dump him, you'll end up a broken woman one day...mentally, physically and emotionally.
