I see how that could be taken differently. What I was implying is that virginity is more a state of mind. There are so many rules out there. I would certainly agree that if you want to be a virgin then the use of tampons would not change your status.
On the other hand if you wanted to declare your self sexually experienced, then masturbation, with whatever, could count.
That's my take on the virginity question.
