For the holidays, I gave this male teacher a little stonehenge thing. He seemed happy, but after break seems to be acting odd around me. Friendly but not as friendly. I looked online; as it turns out, stonehenge is an ancient sex symbol of the vagina. lmao! but how can I fix this?

I LIVE near stonehenge and i have never heard anything to do with vaginas. I doubt your teacher has either. Every year people gather to celebrate the sun shineing between two of the stones. Research shows Stonehenge was used for sacrifices. Dont worry about it im sure your teacher knows you didnt mean it in that way.

The Gentle Man agony auntJust tell him. Just pull him over alone one day and say that you thought that the necklace was just nice and didnt know that it was actually a symbol, but you have just learned that it is and you dont want to give him the wrong idea.

Mention that you have noticed that he is acting a little odd and you just wanted to clear the air.

He will understand and it will likely give him some relief from having to distance himself (If he knows it is a symbol, he is distancing himself as he think you have a crush on him)

Just say it as above, mention odd behaviour, nice necklace, no idea of the symbolism surrounding the necklace.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (9 January 2009):

personally, what i would do is say, "sir, i did a bit of research on that gift i gave you, do you know what it symbolises?" then laugh about it saying you would never have got it for him if you knew what it meant.
