writes: when me and my bf get in little petty arguments he tends to get a little aggressive..he starts to push me and get in my face..recently he actually put his arm on my throat wanting to choke me..i love him and i know that he has a problen with his anger but i dont know if it might get worse in the future..what should i do?should i try to help him or leave him? Sorry to say but this sounds really bad. Violence only escalates in an aggressive person like this the longer you stay with them. I was with a guy for 2 years and at first he would call me names and push me every now and then. I stupidly stuck around as after every fight he would apologise and i would get sucked in. Then we had one massive fight where he punched me straight in the face and broke my nose.. Even then i found it hard to leave him! Dont be a victim and leave this guy to sort out his own issues.

I advise you to get out of this relationship. No one should have to endure abuse of the sort you describe, it is a violation of a fundamental human right.
If he loved you with all his heart, he would not do this to you.
