Me and my boyfriend broke up, and he says to me really sadly that sometimes he wished he never met me. can you tell me why he said that. I'm 40 and he is 32 he often says he didnt think he was ever mature enough for me.

He said that to you because of the pain of you too breaking up. I don't think he was being immature and especially he wasn't being co dependent. I would say he sounds like he's hurting real bad.

Basschick agony auntI'd have to agree. He wasn't mature enough. I can only surmise that he tells you this because if he had not met you, then he would not have lost you and he would not be feeling this pain. But that is assuming he is just as heart broken as you are about the relationship being over. Otherwise, he's just being mean.

I have felt that way after every relationship. It takes a while to realize the things you learn about yourself in relationships are invaluable, but most people are impulsive and say what jumps to their tongue right? I wouldn't worry so much, and have confidence there are men who have it together and won't disrespect you or be overly co-dependant.
