He joined the military nine months ago, so I've never had that "long anticipation for my true love to come back home" kinda thing... until now. As of right now, I haven't seen him in exactly six months and three days, and I am nervous as all hell about his arrival but so excited!I wonder, is there anything I can do to make him feel much more welcome than just being here? Anything mood-wise I can do to ease it along? What I should wear? Thank you for any help!

What's his favorite kind of food? Take him out to his favorite restaurant/make his favorite meal. I also like to spend lots of time around loved ones (that could be just me personally, cuz' some people return home and are somewhat distant). Go see a good movie together, go to his favorite hang-out spots, or just go for a relaxing walk or drive to clear both of your minds-this will help him to think deeply on the time he's been away, and in turn will probably make him more attached to you after he's realized how long he's been away from you. Remember that he is also a man and unlike us, he WILL want to spend anything from just a few hours, to a few days on his own to get re-acquainted with everyone and everything.
