Studies show cranberry juice has a strong *preventative* effect. But no study shows that cranberry juice works as a *treatment*.
You really shouldn't seek medical advice from the internet. If you had gone to a GP instead then this would have been sorted by now. The risk of complications from a simple infection increases as time passes, so get to a doctor today. There's no need for a specialist, a UTI after sex is a commonly seen problem in a GP clinic. Don't worry about embarrassment, people having sex is unremarkably normal behaviour.
If you are prescribed antibiotics, do humanity a favour and take the complete course, even if you feel better immediately.

You are not a doctor and neither are we. Go to your nearest family planning clinic, get yourself examined for UTI. Get a smear test whilst your at it.
As well as drinking cranberry juice, it is always good to empty your bladder before and after sex. Helps prevent infection, which is something I've been told.

You could have the beginnings of a UTI. Try taking cranberry pills to clear it up. Also always use the bathroom as soon as possible after sex. Don't wait hours and hours. Also keep things clean down there. Cranberry has a compound in it that has been shown to greatly decrease the symptoms of a UTI and help prevent them. Basically it lines the inside of your bladder in a way that prevents the bacteria from latching on. Doctors frequently prescribe cranberry pills to women who are prone to recurring UTIs. If that doesn't work, go see a doctor. They don't call UTIs honeymooners disease for nothing...

Hi. You might have a low grade urinary tract infection, so do get it checked. To help stop its return, always use lube if you get a little dry during sex. Remember the One Hole rule during sex. Make sure things dont get too "rough" when your partner is thrusting. And always go and do a wee wee straight after sex. It will flush out any bacteria that have been accidentally pushed into the urethra during sex. What youve described is quite common for we women im afraid. But if you do the above it should stop it from returning. All the best x

Okay I'm not a doctor but I know exactly what you're going through because it usually happens to me sometimes after intercourse and other times when it's that time of the month for me whenever I drink coca cola. Usually what I do to get rid of it is drink plenty of water Gatorade or cranberry juice. If I don't have any cranberry juice I'll end up drinking water and taking a cranberry pill and if that works only a little I'll take a shower. Usually after I get a shower it stops. My best advice is to go see a doctor to get it checked out and see if they have anything to say and if they can prescribe any medication for it. Best regards to what will happen.
