He gave me pills and creme for it and It healed up and my itching, burning, etc. went away. I didn't have sex while I had a yeast infection but, it seems like ever since I got it, I start burning about 5-10 minutes into having sex. Is this normal? And is there anything I can do to stop it? We do use lubricated condoms and when we don't use condoms, we use another type of lube. Any suggestions on how I might be able to stop the burning during/after sex?

i didnt say you got it from him if you had the yeast infection to start with you can transfer it to each other a yeast infection is a underlying infection and can come out when strssed or if you have o much caffiene or use a saop in your private area i would say that it probably is the condom and lube that you are allegic too, i would go to the doctor as this could be something more serious x

And I didn't get it from him in the first place. I'm just wondering how to stop the burning I get 10 minutes or so into having sex. It's enjoyable at first but then I start feeling the burning and I would really like to make it stop.

well firstly even if you have got rid of the yeast infection and you are having unprotected sex he we still have it and keeps passing it onto you so the best thing is to get him checked and cleared also the lube and condoms that you are using might be causing this too find hypo allergenic condoms for sensitive people.hope this helpsif it does continue go and see your doctor again.

I just went through this--not any fun! Same symptoms, and I was treated for a UTI and a yeast infection. I'm also going to get checked again, for any other infections, such as STD's. My suggestion, go back to your Doctor, tell them the irritation you are having, and get a more thorough exam.
I had to take some heavy duty antibiotics, and it was a week before I saw relief.

you should pee after you have sex. it helps to not get other infections like a UTI, which is what you may have as well. or it could be another symptom of your current infection. but, your best bet would be to ask a doctor how to fix your problem if it doesn't go away on its own soon.
