He tells me all the time that he loves me and wants to be with me but within the last week he tells me that he needs a break ...  Ask him why he wants a break and what does this break entail.
How long will this last?
Is it temporary or are you permanently broken up?
Is he going to see other people?
What about working out a schedule with your daughter?
Is he going to give you a fair amount of child support every month?
Take it lightly but also have a plan for you and your daughter. The most important thing here is to provide for and protect her.
