Do you knwo anything about that too ?. I would really appreciate any advice you could give me . Has anyone here ever lived and worked in London before, after living somewhere else, and how did you find it ?. Reply to this Question Share |

You are right, it is very expensive to live in London and in the current economic climate it will not be easy to find a steady job that will pay enough to have a decent living in London unless you have some particularly sought after qualifications and work experience. Try visiting your friends who are already in London one weekend. See the type of accomodation they live in and ask them how much it costs them.
I would say it is much easier to come and live in London if you already have a job offer (with decent enough salary to live off) or coming as an university student where you will have lots of other people your age around you who are in the same situation (you kinda help each other survive) although it is pot luck who you end up hanging around - worst case is that you mix with a bad crowd that lead you astray (but at 26-29 I would hope that you have developed some common sense and a little wisdom).
By all means give it a try but do your research first so you know what to expect.
Good luck.
