If you took your first pill on the first day of your period then you were protected straight away and as long as you've taken them when you were supposed then you have been protected and will continue to be throughout your seven day break.

you won't be protected but go back on the pill straight away after 7 days because i sometimes leave mine a few weeks after 7 days and i get pregnancy scares and you wont want them lol any way use a condom in the 7 days if you are going to have sex.
