writes: I had an interesting conversation about a leaf.I met a young lady on campus while she was standing under a tree-gazing at the leaves. She said she loved the beauty of Fall foliage.I asked her: “What do you see when you look at those leaves”? She said it just reminds her of fun times with family she had lost. So, I began to look at the tree and the leaves too..lol, and of course, the way my mind works,THIS IS WHAT I SAW:I saw that a leaf is not merely a leaf, but that it is every process it endured before it became a leaf. From the planted seed, to the roots that form-and the trunk to the branch- and the branch to the twig. A leaf is not just a leaf. Life is such that we are not merely whom we appear to be on the surface_ but much more. In our totality..we embody the entire process of becoming..before we arrive.JeJe Reply to this Article Share |
