I really need more info from the OP before I can answer
but to be honest EVERYTHING that happens in a person's past shapes who they are in the present and who they may become in the future.

In the marriage vows I believe there is a line which says
'To have and to hold from this day forward' and 'forsaking all others keep thee only unto him/her'
I believe that means that from the day of marriage you promise to be committed to eachother and don't seek the company of others. I believe it means the slate is clean.
Of course past experiences shape and change a person but if they are faithful in their marriage and love the person they took as their wife or husband then anything that went before must not be dwelled upon.
Look for the answers within your marriage and not outside of it would be my advice.
