He's great - really smart and has a very intense job, with tons of pressure and a bizarre management structure that cause a lot of stress. He talks about it constantly, at length. I try to be supportive and listen and sympathize, but sometimes I want to tell him to shut up and that I have work and life stress too! Can you guys help me with a tactful way to get the point across that it's kind of rude to talk about himself for hours before getting around to how my day went? I get a little angry in the moment and I'm afraid I'll say something mean. He's a sensitive fellow :)Thanks! Reply to this Question Share |
