A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Dear Cupid, I got drunk and messaged this popular kid in my school I. Didn't say anrhing stupid only that I was drunk and he said bye. But then I stared to text my friend who had a thing with him and she was like what's going on since I was drunk I was saying stupid stuff. Then my friend texted her saying she was the boy. The next day my friend who I was texting said who texted my BC I know it wasn't the boy. And she went on saying that her and the boy talked about it. I'm just worried that he is going to say stuff to his friends about me. What should I do?

tennisstar88 agony auntSo what, you drunk texted? It's NOT a big deal.

Kids will probably talk about it till the end of the weekend. In other words, your drunk texts will be old news by New Year's Eve.

I find that it's usually wise to give your sober friends your mobile when you're drunk, because it usually ends up in the loo, lost, or you drunk dialing/texting.

Ciar agony auntModerate your alcohol consumption and stop sending silly texts to people you hardly know. In fact stop sending silly texts period. People will be more inclined to listen to you if you actually have something interesting to say.

As for what's already happened, not much you can do about it except apologize if anyone brings it up. What you did wasn't the classiest thing, but it wasn't the worst thing either.

Chin up and learn from it.
