A co-worker told me she love me. How did she mean that?

A male United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

So , I've been working at my ex-job for about 3 years, in this time I became quite close to a female colleague of mine. We hanged out (as a group with the others there) and talked many things. On occasion we hugged.

When I left she told me she's very upset and will miss me very much, then she hugged me and told me "I love you"... I was frozen and couldn't talk and she walked out after that...

What does she mean by that? She loves me as a colleague ? A friend? Or does she want a relationship with me? I have no idea... She has a boyfriend, but told me she's not very excited about him...

A female reader, anonymous, writes (4 February 2015):

Probably just means she cares about you a lot.

Women are more affectionate than men. I love every single one of my guy friends. And they love me too. I don't know what it means beyond being friends because we are just friends. But it just means we care about each other, want the best for one another and are there for each other in times of need.

That much is true. After that, I don't know.

Honeypie agony auntIf she has a BF, I'd stop thinking about this any further. She is off-limits.

You wouldn't want to date a girl who cheated on you would you? So don't get into something like that yourself.
