His career or lifestyle doesnt factor into the equation at all. I know my family wouldnt be too keen dut to the age gap (+20 years possibly) but could it be chemistry. My question is should I pursue this relationship. Me and he guy get on well together and he makes time to have a conversation with me. Any advice would be aprreciated. Thanks.

IF you are single and he is single then both of you are consenting adults and I see no issue with it.
Just because you get on and he makes time to have conversation with you does not mean that he wants a romantic relationship.
