2 months together on a trip with my ex?

Question - (14 March 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 16 March 2011)
A female Canada age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Me and my ex boyfriend broke up 4 months ago now due to his jealousy problems about my past.

while in a relationship although things were never great we decided we wanted to travel together. well these plans got pushed to one side when we broke up.

but in the past couple of months we have remained friends and have committed to still going on the trip.

we have booked the flights and a few other bits that i cant afford to waste, however spending time together is becoming more and more difficult, theres barely a day that we see each other when we dont argue. i find him rude and often unbearable, and i think i have a lot of resentment towards him after the way he treated me when we were together. he too has issues with me and we just do not get on.

i dont know how we're going to spend two months alone together. i dont want to waste my money, i stillm want to go on the trip. i also dont want to travel alone as i dont think it would be much fun.

could anyone offer any suggestions on how to get through this trip and have a good time together?

thanks x

dirtball agony auntDo your best to focus on the moment and just enjoy the experience. One nice thing about a trip is that there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied. Two months is a long time! That's half the total time of the relationship... YIKES!

Do yourself a favor. After this trip is over, put this guy in your past and don't bother with him anymore. I promise it will be one of the better decisions of your life.
