Yesterday evening I was at a party with my family, a girl was also there with her family..I couldn't take my eyes off her, I felt extremely attracted to her...and I'm fairly sure she liked me too. Problem is...she can't have been any older than 12. This kind of thing hasn't happened to me before, It's usually girls around my age if not older who I go for...I want to see her, but that won't be easy, if I'm 4 (almost 5) years older than her, it'd be weird. What should I do? she could get scared and think your a pervet, if you think about it ok if u was 25 and she was 21 dont you think but 12 and 16 no out of the subject! you have to find someone near your own age so you dont cause confusion anyway what would the 12 year old no about love??? with a 16 year old a bit on the freaky side

Normally i would say that age means nothing, that age is just a number, and that its how a couple feel for one another, which is generally true. However in this case the age gap is huge, although 4 or 5 years is not really a great deal, because she is 12 the gap becomes gargantuan. I think you should wait till she is older, as we mature age gaps don't sound that bad, like if you waited till she was 17, then you would be 21 and this would be fine.
All the best

try and forget her and find someone your own age, it wont be easy, but it is the best thing to do
good luck, hannah xxx

I got an 12yr old sister, she and her freinds are still kids. They do not have the mental ability to have an serious relationship with an older person. It is very strange that you fancy an 12yr old, your in yr11 right? maybe even college. This girl is properly in year 8. Get your head sorted out. I'm 18 and remember being 16, no one in my year would dare date someone that young.
