well my bf quites shy but we have hugged. no the first date when we were walk ed home i was like well im going now and he gave me a hug and while he was hugging me he kissed my cheek. it just went on form there. i gave him a kiss back.
its fine, when you're hugging her give her a peck on the cheek and see her reaction.
