What can I do to make him believe me?

Question - (2 June 2007) 3 Answers - (Newest, 2 June 2007)
A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

A few weeks ago me and my boyfriend were sending flirty texts to each other and I accidentally sent one of the texts to some random person - my boyfriend just had a new number you see and I typed it on wrong. Anyway the person I sent the message to has kept on ringing me and texting me since, and some of the things this person (don't know if its a guy/girl) says are downright dirty. I've only replied to the texts a few times to say I don't want the person to keep texting me. I didn't change my number because I was hoping it would all blow over, but I wish I had because it has made things worse. Just this week my phone was lying in my house and I received a text from the mystery person and my boyfriend read it. Again it was a flirty text and I tried to explain to my boyfrined about whats been going on but he seems to doubt me still and thinks it's someone I know and have been flirting with behind his back. What can I do to make him believe me?

You might also want to block all calls and texts from the annoying individual.

That should take care of it.

nologo agony auntYou can change numbers, but it is not needeed.

Disconnect messaging service if you can do it.

I strongly doubt that "this person" will actually ring you.

"tried to explain to my boyfrined about whats been going on but he seems to doubt me still and thinks it's someone I know"

His doubts will lead nowhere in case there is no continuation.

I would get your boyfriend to phone whoever it is and ask them to stop. if it's another bloke then he'll soon get the message.
