A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I saw my ex on Saturday and he bought me some drinks. This other guy was talking to me and he told me that my ex chats other women up. I told my ex what he said, and he got angry and he told the other guy to f*** off and said the other guy was only saying that because the other guy wanted to have sex with me. My ex also kept holding me close to him and he was stroking my legs. I went back to his place too. We kissed, but it didn't go any further than that. I was also at his place for quite a while the next day. We were just watching tv. He also asked me if I wanted to go out for a drink again with him that day, so I did. Do you think he would spend all that time with me and buy me drinks, watch tv with me etc if he didn't like me?. His friends have also told me that he has told them that he likes me.

So_Very_Confused agony auntHe's your ex right?

all he's doing it priming you for FWB....

it's easy to fall back to having sex with an ex... you know the dance with the guy and it's easy... but it will NOT get you into a relationship again.. just sex

and yes men who want just sex can be attentive and spend money on you buying dinner and drinks and be nice and cuddly and watch tv and kiss... they aren't all just about wham bam thank you ma'am.

He wouldn't be spending time with you and buying you drinks, watching tv with you etc if he didn't think he had a chance of getting your hopes up again so he can get you into bed no strings attached.
