Alexander/Alexandra, Nicholas/Nicole, Christopher/Christina, etc), and we both go by the same shortened version (Alex, Nick(y), Chris). Has anyone ever been in a relationship with someone who shared a name with them? Was it confusing? Awkward? Any input is appreciated :) Thanks in Advance. Reply to this Question Share |

I know that might be difficult as you will have gotten used to the name you have always been called. But, if you change it slightly, your names would sound different. For example, if the names are nick for short, one of you could be called nick, and the other be called nicky. Or if it's chris, one of you could be chris, and the other could be chrissy. If its alex, one of you could be alex, and the other could be alexis or alexa (I know alexa is a female name, and alexis is a male and female name ).Or, you could use your names and the first letter of your surname to tell the difference between you both. So if your first name was chrissy and your surname was williams, for example, you could be chrissy w.

Growing up we lived across the street from the C family.
we were raised to call the parents Mr. first name and Miss first name. He was Patrick (Pat) and she was Patricia (Pat)
so it was Mr. Pat and Miss Pat. no one ever had issues.
