A bit about me. I'm 28 years old, happily married to an amazing man. We live in Ontario, Canada. I am a registered massage therapist and my husband is a sous chef at a golf course (so naturally, I eat way too much good food).
I've led quite the interesting and adventurous life, which included moving all over the country with my family. From kindergarten to the end of high school, I attended seven schools, made countless new friends, and experienced many wonderful cities. Because of these experiences, I'm feel I'm qualified to offer a unique perspective to parents of teenagers on what their teen/tween may be going through. I have a keen remembrance of what life was like for me inside my head at that age, and can perhaps help you to see your teen's issues from another angle.
As a massage therapist in Canada, you have to undergo extensive training -- two years of school, plus two very stressful board exams, and continuing education classes & credits in order to keep my license to practise active. Because of this, I have a greater than average knowledge of the human body and its various systems, and am happy to answer the odd medical question* here and there.
So ask me a question! Ask me anything. There's no judgment here. I'm looking forward to making some new friends!
*The only question I don't answer is "Am I pregnant?" or some form of that. No one can truly tell you that, expect an at-home pregnancy test and/or a visit to your doctor for a blood test. |
