I'm only 18 years old, and I've been having unprotective sex for almost 3 months trying to get pregnant with my b/f.

I used to smoke constantly for a couple months, a few months ago, then quit, but I smoked a couple cigarettes every now and then, and I drink a little a few nights for a few days, and I took a few xtc tabs a couple nights.

If I'm pregnant and dont know yet, would the things i took effect my baby?

If I quit when I no for sure Im pregnant, will it be too late? What could it do?

Breathing in tar, arsenic, lead, carbon monoxide and nicotine (all found in cigarettes) will always harm your baby. As will alcohol. It doesn't matter how early it is in the prrgnancy, they will always do harm, maybe een more harm when it's really small.

If you are serious about having a baby then you should be not smoking, drinking, but eating lots of fruit and vitamins and taking supplements. You will also need to save all the money you get from smoking etc because a baby is REALLY expensive and start buying the expensive items like prams and nappies now as you will need it all done by the time you give birth. You also need to get used to not going out for weeks at a time as you will have no life once the baby is born.

Mind you if you are that desperate to have a baby so young, you must not really enjoy having a social life / holidays.

You also need to sort out where you are going to live with your boyfriend, who's name it's going to be in and agree how he's going to support you. (If he's working full time, will he still get up to help you with the 3am feed?)

Start learning and see your doctor as it seems you have a LOT to learn about having a baby, health wise and everything else.

Good Luck!! xx
