Now, I knew it would no doubt go wrong because whenever I have gone out with a girl in same school, it has been disatrous (probaly not spelt right) because I always lose all confidence whenever I approach them. Why is this? And Is there anything that can give me more confidence if I went out with a girl in college (I'm off to college in a few months)? I mean, when we're not in school, I am the as confident as one could be.

Okay you need to fight to keep this relatioship together. If you truly like the girl, you gotta show her you do. And not be all shy around her, you have to act normal around her. And if things don't work out, you'll know it wasn't your fault, since the girl just didn't like the true you. Atleast it wouldn't work out, since you weren't being the real you.
I wish you the best of luck.
