Question - (28 July 2010) 2 Answers - (Newest, 29 July 2010)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hi :) my boyfriend is very heavy for his height and age. We've been together 7 months and I love him so much that I've actually realized sometimes i dont even think about what his body looks like because I'm so happy just being around him. But I do wonder what the future would be like... House, maybe kids. How long will he live? I'm terrified of losing him.... So I talked to him and he understood and promised he would work on his weight. He went to see a doctor who gave him a specific diet. He kept to the diet and got a job that requires a lot of physical activity, and when he went back to the doctor he'd gained a few pounds! I thought it was just muscle at first... But then I realized he's not exactly sticking to his diet as well as he should. How do I handle this? :(

boo22 agony auntIt's him who has to handle this hun and not you. He has to face the reasons why he over eats and deal with them in order to make a lasting change. If he doesn't do that he'll be bingeing and dieting all his life and you won't be able to stop it. x
