But my vagina is redish colour and if I touch around the hole it can be quite tender. I find sex uncomfortable-but I put that down to I don't have it very often like once a year at most which leads me to be sore afterwards.I don't have a fishy oddour and my discharge is what I would consider to be normal for me. I have no itching.I don't know whether to go to my doctors to see my nurse to put my mind at rest? It's probably nothing whatsoever, but I have recently started seeing a girl and the redish look of my vagina (i'm not exactly sure if it's always been that colour) makes me paranoid and i'm worried what she'll think. Any advice? Is this just normal? Also do I go and see a doctor, nurse or go to a GUM clinic?Thank you x

Could be that you are allergic to the tampons/pads you are using and the redness is a result there off, or it could be the detergents/fabric softener.
I would go get checked out. JUST to be on the safe side.

I'm sure it is nothing to worry about, but I think just to put your mind at ease you should go and visit your nurse and tell her how you feel.

Vaginas are usually reddish, or brown, or even somewhat purple, depending on various factors including race. I think your vagina is normal and you're worrying needlessly. Relax!!
