They are supposed to be doing some work in the garden next door. Until that is done, I will have no heat or hot water. An engineer came round last Friday and just gave me a little heater, but nothing for hot water. I didnt know whether to laugh or cry when he gave me the heater!. I have to boil the kettle for hot water. I am finding it too difficult to do my dishes and wash myself that way. I have trouble doing things usually as it is, as I have Asperger's Syndrome, which is a form of Autism. I am classed as a vulnerable person as I am disabled. It's not fair being treated like this. I called the council but they just transferred me to the gas company, and when I rang the gas company, they said that the council has to arrange for the engineer to come, and told me to ring the council back. I have difficulty making phone calls though. I don't have a carer, which I am entitled to, and my family aren't supporting me. It's affecting my mental health. I have been on my own in my flat all day every day for a week. I feel disgusting as I haven't been able to wash!. I haven't been eating or drinking either. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Why not go to your local swimming pool they should have facilities to wash? Luckily it's not winter so hopefully your flat is not to cold. If you are entitled to a career then why do you not have one in that case? I agree with the others go to citizens advice.

You need a Social worker who should be following up all these issues on your behalf.
The suggestions to contact the Citizen's Advice Bureau represent good advice. I hope that they can put you in touch with the right people to get you help.
It must be exhausting for you.
Also contact your doctor and ask IF the doctor to arrange some emergency assistance for you within 24 hours as the situation is desperate.
If the doctor cannot help is there any emergency accommodation for women in your area? Because although you have a roof over your head it is not currently of a liveable standard due to the deprivation you are facing re lack of heating and lack of hot water.
If you continue not to be able to eat you could end up in Emergency and THEN the hospital would find the situation had become their problem to attend to.
If the Doctor can think of nothing that contact the peak body that represents the interests of people with Asberger's in the north of England and explain how desperate the situation is.
And if that fails call up the editorial team of your local newspaper and ask if they can do a story on how desperate your situation really is.
and if that fails call your local radio station and ask to speak to a sympathetic on-air personality at the radio station and tell them how desperate you are for help
I do hope that you can get some real help very very soon

They took months to contact me recently and when people do come, they say it takes a long time to get the help. I need the help urgently!. I have no family support or support from friends. I am literally just sitting at home rotting away. I had a really bad panic attack earlier today. It took me a long time to calm down. I was crying hysterically.Does anyone know of any temporary respite places that I could go in to for a while until I feel better?. If so, do you have the links to the websites?. I live in the north west area of England, but would be willing to travel to other parts of the UK.

Can you get yourself down to the citizens advice beaureau and speak to them?
Is there a community gym near you? You can use their showers although you might have to pay a couple of quid to do that.
And get to poundshop if you can and buy some paper plates so you don't have to wash up for the period. You'll get about 50 plates for £1.
Do you have a social worker or a community psychiatric nurse that you could speak to?

Do you have family or friend who can help you sort this out? Or the family that you can stay with till it's fixed? Or do you have a case worker who can help you?
Sometimes repairs HAVE to be made and there isn't much you can do. But I can't see how they can LEAVE you without hot water or heat. I know when we had renovations on the street I used to live on, they broke a water main and HAD to put 3 families up in hotels because they had to shut down electricity to fix the water main.
Did they say how LONG this will go on for? It sounds absolutely crackers that they gave you a little heater but otherwise let you fend for yourself.
