I stopped doing this in about 6 mounths (I can't remember WHY I did this) but it has left lasting marks, even now, when I'm 12: my inner lips (Or are the outer - I'm not sure) are really long and I can see them when I stand up straight. They are sort of red, but not sore - they look fine and i haven't got an infection , I was just wondering if this was something that I should do something about. I can pee Ok, too.Thank you for reading this and any advice would be really kind.Hxxx

reader, anonymous, writes (3 March 2008): Some women have naturally large inner labia (the inner lips). It is also natural for the outter labia to be lope-sided (uneven) and for the inner labia to be as well. As well as size-differences, there are color differences. Some women are naturally bright pink, some are naturally light or dark brown (down there), even if they're light or dark skinned. If your labia are red but not itchy or painful, and haven't changed colors in quite a long time, I wouldn't worry. Your labia may darken in color soon due to puberty, but not always.
As for why you did it when you were younger, remember that even babies touch themselves unconciously for pleasure. That's why little boys may LOOK like they are in need of a restroom, but aren't. Same for little girls.

You should be fine and as you go through puberty things will drastically change. If you are really worried, you can ask your doctor.
