I've managed to make them fade with the use of sudocrem, but I was wondering if by losing weight I'd be able to get rid of them completely before they scar?If not, is there any other way to get rid of them? Stretch marks ARE scars, and they will never go away. The best they will get is that they will date to a faint silvery colour with time.
I have stretch marks on my breasts, hips and stomach due to weight gain. Its one of those things that you will have to accept. Remember that 80% of women get stretch marks, and its not really something we can help, we are genetically dispososed for our skin to either get stretch marks or not. Lots of people (not just girls) your age will get stretch marks due to your bodily growth.
Wonder why we never see gorgeous celebrities with stretch marks? They are airbrushed out! J-lo, Katie Holmes, Amy Winehouse, Kate Beckinsale, Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie and Jessica Alba are all women who have spoken about their stretch marks.
Stretch marks are a very normal occurrence, its just something you have to accept and move past.
One thing you can do it to prevent them in the future. Increase your protein intake to help feed and nourish the skin from the inside out. Lean protein forms the building blocks of collagen and elastin, and is vital for cell regeneration, so be sure to eat plenty of white meat, fish and soya.
The stretch mark super mineral is zinc, found in yogurt, shellfish and brown rice.
A diet high in zinc, has been proven to prevent stretch marks from forming, as a collagen-dense dermis keeps skin supple and elastic.
Also get some special stretch mark vitamin E cream, which will help keep your skin moisturised.

losing weight will also help lessen the appearance... however if youre looking for permanent removal, surgery is a good option for scar removal these days.
