We had just a week together before summer break, and we both really enjoyed it and thought it was amazing. Now, after nearly two months apart, our feelings for each other have basically disappeared, because we just haven't known each other long enough or spent enough time together. This doesn't bother me too much because even though I don't feel the same about her right now as I did before, I'm sure I will when we see each other again in two months, and I want to because I remember how special it felt. I think our feelings will soon come back, almost as if we'd never been apart and I don't see why it would be any different. But she says she doesn't think it will be the same, and I don't understand how she can think this. Nothing will have changed. I wouldn't expect that just a week would be enough for us to keep our feelings for each other for four months, but it seems to me that whatever was there before will be there again when we see each other again. All you can do for now is stay friendly, keep the lines of communication open, and see if things pick up where they left off.
