I've never heard anyone who waited and had regrets about it. I mean I am. And I know lucky guy who marries you probably WON'T.

There are some guys out there who cannot bear the fact that their partner had a past.Judging from the number of posts we get every month,I would say most of the guys do.

Please type "her past" in the search box at the top left of the page.Check out the various links. All the Best Dear.

there is no right or wrong answer. as the people who save themselves for marriage wont know what it;s like to have had sex before, obviously, and people who have had sex before marriage won't know what it's like to save themselves.

so really it just depends on the person and how you feel about it. if you think you would regret it, then maybe waiting for 1 man/woman is not for you. i prefer test driving before buying. plus the thought of not having sex untill i get married would drive me nuts! but each to their own

Some think that testing before "buying" is *the* way for one in a life time happy marriage ... but, what would happen if for some reason sex gets worse after marriage? ... divorce?

A male reader, friargreg Canada +, writes (27 November 2008):

Don't let others praise you for doing one or the other... being happy is what is important. If you are in a relationship with someone, then by all means decide with them if you should wait. It's an important discussion to have BEFORE getting married.

From my point of view, I felt that how well my partner performs was important. I never judged her (them) for her (their) history. I didn't want to get stuck married to someone who I may love dearly, but can't stand to have sex with them... this is the rest of my life I'm talking about! My being HAPPILY MARRIED and married only ONCE was more important than if I or she were virgins.

Experience breeds wisdom.

Advice is garbage.

A male reader, clee750 United States +, writes (27 November 2008):

You will not regret it. I have many friends that have waited till marriage. None of them regret. However many of my friends that have not waited regret it.

Look at it this way. If you wait till marriage then your husband will be the best sex you have ever had.
