My problem is if I tell her I like her and she likes me back than great. But if she doesnt like me and says no than our friendship will probably be over, and she is one of my best friends.

You have nothing to lose by at least telling her how you feel. It would help to clear the air but say to her that you value your friendship and what you are about to tell her you do not want that to change. You can only predict what you are thinking and feeling you cannot predict her behaviour or reaction but it is worth telling her to at least put your mind at rest. If you feel too shy to tell her then why not write it down and give it to her and ask her to write back to you with her opinion. Worth a try.
