reader, anonymous, writes (20 November 2007): How can you know that he will treat you the same way as your ex? Unless you know more about him than you are telling us. If you want to go out with him then do so, but dont compare all men with your ex bf. He could be completely different and the ideal one for you, but you wont know until you go out with him. How can he say that you will marry him in the future? Is this a culture thing to do with your country? It is up to you if you go out with him, like him, or even marry him in the future and not for him to decide. Unless there are rules in your country to state otherwise, sorry i dont know your country's rules on these things.
